Jolgorio puts Hispanic Creatives in the spotlight.

I am the Co-Founder of Jolgorio de Diseño (Holgoreeo deh deesehneeo), a space for Hispanic Creatives & Allies to️ connect, support & empower each other through networking events (pre-COVID), mentorship, and consulting

Our goal is to create a space where we speak candidly on the challenges and victories of pursuing Design and other creative endeavors. We aim to foster real connections, both personally and professionally that build a supportive and encouraging community.

Previous partners:

Community support during the pandemic.

Over the past years, Jolgorio has worked with a variety of Latinx entrepreneurs in the San Francisco Bay Area to help them develop their branding, business, and service design strategies. We offer coaching and consulting services in both Spanish & English to help them address the unique challenges and opportunities in the SF Bay Area.

The most recent entrepreneur we collaborated with was Cecilio León, a passionate and hard-working Yucatecan chef and bartender (former bartender at Loló) who lost his job and the possibility of working, as the whole industry shut down. We helped Cecilio with his newest adventure, our favorite Yucatecan food truck @alcarajosf! We helped him with business strategy advice, developed the branding and design for the food truck as well as printed and digital collateral. We also developed a service design experience that adapts to the current unprecedented needs.

Past Jolgorios

These are some photos from some of our past Jolgorios. If you don’t identify as a Latinx and want to attend, please do! We are actively looking for advocates and allies with different backgrounds, so you are welcome to come–mi casa es su casa (my house is your house).

Talks are in English and connections often happen in Spanish.
